Grants and fellowships for people studying or serving the link between relationships and health — researchers, clinicians, students, and small organizations.
Good work in relational health stalls for a plain reason. The funding exists, but it sits scattered across foundation pages, federal portals, and press releases that nobody has time to read. A small organization does not have a grants officer. A clinician with a good question does not have a research office. So the money and the work never meet.
This page is our attempt to close a little of that gap. Every listing below was opened and read by a person, not collected by a robot. Where a program is closed, invitation only, or narrower than it first appears, we say so plainly — because a directory that hides the catch is worse than no directory at all.

Read this before you apply to anything.
A funding list goes stale the moment it is published. Deadlines move. Programs close, get renamed, or quietly stop running. A foundation that funded training last year may only fund direct service this year. That is normal, and it is why every listing above carries the date we last checked it and a link straight to the funder.
The funder’s own page is the truth. This page is a starting point. Confirm the deadline, the eligibility, and the award range at the source before you spend a single evening writing. We would rather you find one live opportunity here than trust twenty that have drifted.
Two more things worth saying out loud. Upside is not affiliated with any funder listed here, and being listed is not a recommendation — we have no relationship with these organizations and nothing to gain from your application. And a listing is not eligibility advice. Several programs below look like a fit until you reach the fine print: some fund only accredited degree programs, some only take nominations, and some accept no unsolicited proposals at all. We have put that fine print in the listing rather than leaving you to find it on page nine of a PDF.
How this list is kept.
Once a week, an automated search goes looking for new and changed opportunities in relational health funding. It does not publish anything. It hands us a list, and a person opens each funder page, reads it, and decides whether it belongs here and what the catch is. Only then does it reach this page.
That extra step is deliberate. An automated crawl is good at finding pages and bad at reading them. In building this directory we found a mental health grant that turned out to belong to a clinic in Green Bay, Wisconsin rather than the similarly named health system in Florida, and a large AI fund whose money never actually reaches a nonprofit directly. A machine lists both as opportunities. Someone loses a weekend to each.
So the search is automatic and the publishing is not. It means this page updates in weeks rather than minutes, and we think that is the right trade for a list people plan their year around.
